Toronto, Ontario – On March 5 and 6, 2022, 英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱 College will host a FIRST Robotics District Competition in partnership with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Canada at its North Campus.

High school students will showcase their design and engineering skills by competing in Canada's largest high school robotics competition. Under strict time limitations, students will build a 120-pound robot that will be challenged to complete tasks on a playing field. Students program and test their machines using skills in engineering, coding, and design. In addition to the scientific aspects, students will have to develop business and marketing plans, fundraisers, and community engagement plans.

This year, FIRST teams will address today’s global challenges related to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #9, focused on building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and fostering innovation.

“After two years without stepping foot (or wheels) on the field, we are excited to return to in-person events for the FIRST Robotics Competition season. We are equally thrilled to work with our educational partner 英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱 who will host our first event in 2022,” said Dave Ellis, president FIRST Robotics Canada.

英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱 College is home to an award-winning Mechatronics skills varsity team and is a national leader in the field. Students learn alongside representatives from leading companies in robotics, 3D printing, and collaborative digital technologies.

“英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱 believes work-integrated and hands-on learning are integral parts of the educational experience, and this competition represents a real-world engineering challenge that will help students develop their technical and team building skills,” said Chris Whitaker, president and CEO, 英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱 College. “The creativity and skill demonstrated by participants proves that in the hands of the next generation of talented minds, we have a bright future.”
