The BSSE (Black Student Support and Engagement) Program is an equity hub within the department of Student Success and Engagement at 英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱 College. The BSSE Program seeks to provide students who identify as Black Canadian, Black African, and Black Caribbean (including Black Latinx, Black Indigenous and Black Mixed) with community, resources, and support to help them fully maximize on their campus experience. Our programming is open to students within 英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱 College and the University of Guelph-英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱.

Empowerment starts at BSSE

BSSE exists to create both a safe and strong space for students who identify as being Black. To that end, we host several workshops and key events geared towards enhancing your power! Two examples of such activities are; the Kings Gathering and the Queens Circle. Check out our Black Heritage Month 365 Calendar to see some of the ways our 英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱 community is engaging in anti-racism education.

Name Change

Student Success & Engagement continues to commit to and support 英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱’s strategic plan of building a healthy and inclusive community through optimizing student success and embedding health and well-being into all aspects of campus culture. The health and safety of our students, especially equity-deserving students is a top priority and why Black Academic Success & Engagement (BASE) has undergone a name change.

We are excited to announce that the new name is: Black Student Support & Engagement (BSSE)

While the BASE will always have a place in our hearts for the powerful ways in which it supported Black-identifying students we are very much looking forward to continuing to support students at Black Student Support & Engagement with community, resources, and guidance to help students fully maximize their time at 英雄联盟竞猜线上入口靠谱.
